A Little History
2005 celebrates BNI's 20th anniversary! Started in January 1985 by Dr. Ivan Misner, Founder and CEO of Business Network Int'l., BNI provides a positive, supportive, and structured environment for you to grow your business through word-of-mouth marketing.
Reed and Kathy Morgan brought BNI to Middle Tennessee in 1995. Two years later, in 1997, their family roots and contacts in Kentucky let to regional growth which has resulted in chartering of chapters in Louisville and the “Bluegrass area” as well as Western Kentucky and Southern Indiana. They now have over 60 chapters with more than 1500 members across the three state area.
Reed and Kathy are contributing authors to BNI’s best-seller Masters of Networking . They were charter members of BNI's Founder's Circle and Franchise Advisory Board. They have served more than 5 years as District Directors for the South Central United States coaching and mentoring other BNI Directors and franchiseees.
The Morgans are partners in Referral Institute franchises for Central Kentucky and Middle Tennessee. Referral Institute has a strategic alliance with BNI and provides a variety of training programs and services focused on referral based marketing.
